Post for the month of July

I wouldn't want to make the blog name a big lie, and I've been pretty skimpy on news like Wendy never fails to remind me :)

Here are some of the promised pictures I brought with me from Lebanon. First, I think this picture goes back all the way to the 5ieme in 1992, although it could also have been during the 4ieme. Bourgui is already tall and sexy, although not quite as much as his modern handsome self. Professor Dubuis (I think) is on the right, and many other familiar faces, although some have gone over the years. On the personal level, this was the beginning of the ugly years, with way too much hair on my head, not enough gel, ugly glasses and the beginning of facial hair.

The second one is from the other extreme of high school, the Terminal year, with many more familiar faces to all of you who read this blog. Ah the joy of having about 3 girls in class and the rest of them being boys... Although Bourgui was taken care of, Damien and I were busy getting record rejections (I won handily, but that's just due to my unabashed willingness to do silly things, or at least back in 1996 it was.

Anyways, I got a couple more pics like this for a future post. And maybe some more news by the end of August :p
I think that Kash Monthly is about correct these days, with not enough extraordinary things happening to be worth taking note of, and too many things pulling attention in other places, such as facebook.com (if you're not on there, you should be) and LinkedIn (which I have but don't really use yet).

I hope you are all OK, and I miss you all like hell.
Love,
Karim

Dude we were never that young lol. wow, I'm glad I'm not on it, I've been spending many many hourstrying to forget what I looked like. It's really funny how we have/ haven't changed. Emily, kajta, Olga, Ben, robin, No, Bourgui, kash, emilien, fernando, genevieve, myriam... That is so sick.

Ok, the first picture I can situate in time : it was our class of 4ème (for those of you who care, it's the 8th year of school), and the teacher is Madame Merrien. Note the very amused look of yours truly. Two persons on my right is another guy named Marcel, whose cheek I used to lick when I was bored in class. Good times... Thanks, man, now I'm all nostalgic... Keep'em coming.

I have a couple more of these, but if you guys can find your high-school pics, by all means post them!

It's been a trend here for the past 2 months. Marcel stumbled upon his year book from 97 and we keep looking at pictures when he comes around.
I think Natalie is getting annoyed, so I'll have t restrain myself a bit :o)

Anyway, nice to see pictures of the golden years. No worries, ghosts of Nono and Bourgui, Lynx-Man and Vulture-Man live on, if only in our hearts...

Hey, I'm not annoyed, i just used this case to prove a previous point in relation to my friends and I who constantly talk about the past and frequently use the words " do you remember that time... or do you remember that guy?

I said that everyone does it, but i recall nick saying that "not everyone does it", so i used this circumstance to prove my point.

On the contrary i encourage this sort of reminiscing behavior, because its a fantastic experience, especially when combined with copious amounts of beer and shorts. (preferably vodka and red bull, cos i don't really like coke)

i further stated that it is for this reason that nick doesn't really have fun when I'm out with my friends because we consistently engage in the " do you remember the time when..." activity.
And because this is an exclusive pass time for those present in the past, those who were absent at the time can grow increasing bored.

Therefor, it's an activity best conducted in the absence of those who were not present at the time.

So there you have it. A long explanation to a common activity.

and of course some relatively good, yet useless advice:

Never forget your past because it helps you remember who you are.

Hey Spooner,
I can't read your blog no more. Care to add karimsaliba AT gmail DOT com as your friend?
If that blog is private to the Irish, please consider creating a new public one :)
Oh, and I miss you hot blonde ass, as well as that tall guy you hang around with usually.
So lots of kisses and love, to you and your ass. And that tall guy too.
